Harley's Office... You walk over to the door you had seen Harley indicate as her office. You knock on the door with no response and decide to try the knob. Luckily the office is unlocked and you are ably to walk right in. You sick your head in first just to make sure that Harley really isn't in there before walking all the way in. The office contains a desk upon which sits a computer and an typewriter. Between those two items the desk is already full. Lining one wall is a bookcase filled to overflowing and on the opposite wall is a series of file cabinets. In front of the desk is a pair of chairs. You claim on of the chairs and prepare to wait for Harley to return. After a few minutes you become restless and stand up to do a closer examination of the office. You fist take a look at the bookcase. It is filled with all sorts of odds and ends. Harley seems to be an avid collector of glass bottles for they are scattered all over the office. The books an the shelf are an interesting mix. A series of Anne Rice and Laurell K. Hamilton books are mixed in with classical works of fiction, biographies of people with names like Predicate and books on politics and psychology and even a few poetry anthologies. You pick up the biography on Predicate. As soon as you realize that it is written in German you replace it in hopes of finding something that wouldn't require thought and a translator. As you go through the books you notice that a few are written in languages that you don't recognize. Eventually you give up the search and turn towards the file cabinets. The first one is labeled with the initials SiS. It is probably the organization that Harley is working for. This cabinet is locked so you move on to the next one. This one proves to be a better canidate for your exploring; it is not locked. Inside it is filled with all sorts of medical reports, newspaper clips, and half finished papers. Upon closer inspection the papers seem to be a mixture of letters, stories and reports. A frequently written to person was a woman named Sasha. The two seemed to be friends and talked much of politics and society in general. After a while of searching you growed bored again and turn to the desk. All of the drawers were locked to you so you absently turned to the rolodex and began to flip through it. As you fli[pped through the cards it was fairly uneventful. You do happen to notice though that many of the cards are the intitals SiS again. These are often followed by some other letter such as a V, Sh or Si. You try for a few minutes to think up what these letters stand for. After amusing yourself for several minutes with this the door to the office opens. You quickly stand up, feeling guilty about snooping. The door opens to reveal Harley standing there. She looks suprised to see you but recovers quickly. You come around from behind her desk and offer her your hand. "I hope that I did not keep you waiting. I guess I was side tracked." She said indicating the two men behind her with her head as she shakes your hand. You nod at the two other men who walk into the room. The office suddenly seems to be terribly crowded and you are eager to let your hostess return to her business. You thank her for allowing you to look around and being so understanding about everything. When you tell her that you would like to leave now and do not wish to bother her any more than you already have she leads you to the door. Together, the two of you go to the entrance and Harley smiles at you as she invites you to stop by again someday. "And I hope you'll stay for dinner some day as well." She said with a laugh as you left.
